About HyperIntellect

Mankind have a great aversion to intellectual labor; but even supposing knowledge to be easily attainable, more people would be content to be ignorant than would take even a little trouble to acquire it. - Samuel Johnson (1709-1784) Twitter: @HyperIntellect

I agree….but, what is the current reasoning for it being popular in today’s world?

    • Many.

Language barrier throttles the free flow of new ideas.

We are a species more psychologically and socially comfortable with illogical, destructive tradition than alarming new logic.

It’s easier to parrot and agree with those around us, than the time, reading, and bravery – and often punishments – of espousing new, contradictory rationalism.

The continuing emergence of global media – including social media like this – is gradually changing the mindscape.

As someone noted “The internet is where religion goes to die.”
